Meet Gloria
Title and Department: Senior Ambulatory Specialist, Margate Health Center
Years at Broward Health: 35 years
What motivates me to come to work each day: Each day gives me the opportunity and privilege to serve our community and make it a positive experience for our patients.
My favorite Broward Health moment: My accomplishment of serving Broward Health for 35 years, a goal I set for myself and achieved.
Some advice I'd give to a new employee just starting their career in healthcare: First, give your best each day and serve others with compassion. Next, have a positive attitude; it makes the day a little lighter and better. Remember, people may forget your name, but they will never forget how you made them feel.
How I like to relax: Reading, relaxing at the beach and shopping.
What I’m most proud of personally or professionally: I am proud and have been truly blessed with my family. I've been married for 30 years, I have three children who are all college graduates and two grand boys who are my joy. I’m grateful.
What's on my music playlist: Tamela Mann, CeCe Winans, Whitney Houston, Anthony Brown and Marvin Sapp.
If I could have dinner with anyone in the world, living or dead, who would it be and why: It would be Michelle Obama because of her strength and first-hand experiences as mother, lawyer and the first African-American First Lady of the United States of America.
