Step Out with Gary

Diabetes has impacted Gary Lyew Ayee's life more than once. His great grandmother passed away as a result of complications from diabetes several years ago, and his best friend's wife was recently diagnosed with the disease. The reality of diabetes has motivated him to evaluate his own health and wellness.

As Broward Health Imperial Point’s chief human resources officer, Gary is hoping to raise awareness around the impact of diabetes. He’ll be joining several other Broward Health employees at the upcoming Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes, the American Diabetes Association’s signature fundraising walk.

“One out of every four Americans will develop diabetes at some point in their lifetime,” Gary said. “We need to take diabetes seriously.”

Join Gary and register for the upcoming Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes, which will take place on Saturday, October 20 at Huzienga Park in Fort Lauderdale. Register here: https://bit.ly/2P10Vyc
