Fort Lauderdale, FL – The Sunshine Health Broward Health Ball, held May 20th at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, raised more than $700,000 for all Broward Health hospitals, with a special paddle bid that raised funds for the construction of a new Neurological Institute at Broward Health North.
More than 600 guests attended the event that featured silent and live auctions, dinner, dancing and live entertainment. NBC 6 Anchor and Journalist Jawan Strader served as emcee.
For the past five years, the Broward Health Foundation has coordinated this annual event, which has become one of Broward County’s premiere fundraisers.
“The event gets bigger and better each year,” said Nathan Landsbaum, chairman of the Broward Health Foundation board of directors. “It’s so gratifying to see the outpouring of support for our community healthcare system. This event is our way of showing appreciation for the physicians, nurses and all of the Broward Health employees who work incredibly hard to give patients the highest quality care.”
Sunshine Health was the Broward Health Ball’s title sponsor and the event’s host sponsors were 21st Century Oncology and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Other major sponsors include Celebrity Cruises, Broward Health Imperial Point Medical Staff, Mednax, Aramark Healthcare, Fidelity Investments, Cresa, Lifestyle Media Group, Aetna, John Knox Village, Ultimate Software, Turner Construction, DEX Imaging and DPR Construction.
