HIV Physician, Outpatient Community Health
Broward HealthPoint, an affiliate of Broward Health, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Infectious Disease physician to join our community health division in Fort Lauderdale, FL. At Broward HealthPoint, we offer primary care and specialty care to adolescents and children living with HIV, providing clients with family-centered comprehensive care within a medical home environment as well as access to on-site dental, nutrition, mental health, medical case management and pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for patients living with HIV/AIDS, including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management.
- Conduct routine and preventive health screenings for HIV patients, including testing for opportunistic infections and STIs.
- Prescribe and monitor antiretroviral therapy (ART) and manage treatment-related complications.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including case managers, social workers, and mental health professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care.
- Actively participate in community outreach programs and initiatives aimed at reducing HIV stigma and increasing awareness.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and quality improvement measures within the health center.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date on current medical research, evidence-based practices and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Infectious Disease.
- HIV Specialist Certification (AAHIVS) or equivalent.
- Active and unrestricted Florida medical license, or ability to obtain a FL license.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing HIV/AIDS patients in an outpatient or community health setting.
- Strong understanding of social determinants of health and experience working with underserved populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to health equity and patient advocacy.
