At Broward Health Medical Center’s Maternity Place, every detail is designed to make your birth experience comfortable, memorable and centered around you and your family.
Our maternity services include:

• 36 Private Postpartum Suites - Each suite features a private shower, full-size bed for your support person, rocker glider, vanity station and a large-screen TV.
• Deluxe Empress Suites - Enjoy extra-spacious family areas and Tea Time room service in one of our three deluxe suites, available on a first-come, first-served basis for an additional fee.
• Level III Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center (RPICC) and Neonatal Intensive Care Units - On-site to provide advanced care for newborns who need extra support.
• 24/7 Breast Pump Rental Services - Convenient access to hospital-grade breast pumps, available for rent at any time during your stay or after discharge.
• 24-Hour In-House Specialists - Our team includes anesthesiologists, neonatologists, obstetricians, perinatologist, neonatal nurse practitioners and certified nurse-midwives.
• 24-Hour Level III Neonatal Unit - Our 70-bed NICU features all private rooms and is one of the largest and most advanced in Florida.

Prenatal Classes to Support Your Journey

At the Maternity Place at Broward Health Medical Center, we offer classes to help you feel confident and prepared for your baby’s arrival.
Our lactation classes cover what to expect with breastfeeding, including positioning, nutrition, common challenges and tips for returning to work. Support partners are encouraged to join.
