Visitors are encouraged to visit family members and friends, and most patient care areas are open at all times.
A visitor management system has been installed to enhance safety and security at Broward Health. When you enter a Broward Health hospital, adult visitors will need to present a photo ID for verification, and a visitor badge will be issued. Children will also receive a badge, referring to their parent's identification badge. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a safe environment for our patients and visitors.

Did you receive exceptional service at Broward Health? Here’s how you can nominate our caregivers and staff for recognition.
Our mission is to partner with patients and their families in delivering quality healthcare experiences and outcomes. Our entire healthcare team is committed to providing you and your family quality healthcare in a caring and supportive environment. To further assist in fulfilling this mission, we have a guest relations manager dedicated to meeting your needs should you feel you need additional assistance. In an effort to support this mission, guest relations will visit patients to assess their comfort during their hospital stay. Visits can be as simple as getting you a fresh pitcher of water or assisting with information. Our goal is to not only meet your expectations, but to exceed them. In order to monitor the patient experience, we partner with an outside company to conduct patient experience surveys. Inpatients are selected at random after discharge and are mailed a survey to their home. If you should receive this survey, we ask you to complete it, as this will only help us improve the quality of care and service we strive to achieve.
Each hospital has a gift shop located on the first floor, offering a wide variety of gifts, greeting cards, magazines, batteries, plants, flowers, stuffed animals, toys, games, balloons and toiletries. Our auxiliary volunteers operate the gift shops and look forward to assisting you.
The Mission of the Pastoral Care Departments at Broward Health is to provide exemplary Pastoral Care to patients and their families; giving spiritual support with respect for each person's faith tradition and spiritual perspective and functioning in an interdisciplinary manner with other healthcare colleagues.
Broward HealthPoint provides a sliding-fee discount for uninsured and underinsured patients. This means we can reduce your out-of-pocket expenses for your services, based on your household's income and family size. Once approved for a sliding fee, your coverage is valid for one year. You must act to re-certify every year to maintain your coverage.
Please see the income charts below, which is based on the 2023 Federal Poverty Guidelines, revised annually by The Department of Health and Human Services. If your gross household income appears on the line that shows your household size, you may be eligible for reduced charges. The sliding-scale discount is calculated based on your household's annual income and the number of individuals living in your household.
To maintain eligibility for the sliding-scale program, patients are to present proof of their income on an annual basis (usually the anniversary date of approval of your initial application). You may get an application from our front desk staff.
We accept payments using the following:
Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express
When comparing pricing with other hospitals or providers, it is important to understand their prices may or may not include both the hospital and the doctor or other provider services. Average charges are estimates and actual costs will be based on services actually provided to the patient. Your out-of-pocket expense will depend on your individual insurance coverage (such as co-insurance or deductibles). All patients are entitled to request a personalized estimate of expenses. You may contact the health care practitioner or ancillary service anticipated to provide services while in the hospital regarding a personalized estimate, billing practices, and participation with your insurance provider or HMO. Please note that practitioners may or may not participate with the same health insurers or HMO as the hospital. Broward Health’s Financial Assistance Offices are also available to answer any questions you may have at 954-847-4044.
Broward Health medical records are stored securely in an electronic format and are available to you at all times. We are pleased to offer a portion of your medical records online upon registration at any Broward Health hospital.
This list reflects managed care plans currently contracted with Broward Health and is subject to change. Other plan coverage may be considered directly by the hospital.
