What is MyChart?

MyChart gives you secure, online access to your medical records. It helps you manage your care and stay informed. With MyChart, you can:

Schedule appointments.

Is there a fee to use MyChart?

No. MyChart is a free service for all Broward Health patients.

What do I need to use MyChart?

You’ll need a computer, smartphone or tablet with internet access and a current web browser (Edge, Chrome, Firefox or Safari). You can also use the MyChart mobile app for iOS or Android.

How do I sign up?

You can create an account in several ways:

Clinic staff may sign you up during your visit
You may receive an activation code on your After Visit Summary, billing statement, text or email
You can also sign up online by confirming your identity using the information already on file with Broward Health

When can I see my test results in MyChart?

Most test results appear in MyChart as soon as they’re ready. You may see them before your provider reviews them. Once reviewed, your provider can add notes or explanations directly in your chart.

Can I view a family member’s medical record in MyChart?

Yes. With proxy access, you can view medical records for your child or another adult who gives permission. You must be at least 18 years old to access another person’s record.

To give someone access to your information, send an invitation through the Friends and Family Access page in MyChart.

What can a parent or guardian see in a child’s chart?

Parents and guardians have full access to a child’s chart until the child turns 13. After that, access is limited to insurance details, payments, demographic updates and certain administrative information.

Is MyChart available in other languages?

Yes. MyChart is available in English, Spanish and French.

Linking Accounts

If you’ve received care at more than one healthcare organization, you can link those records to your Broward Health MyChart account for a complete view of your health information.

Connecting your accounts lets you see details such as allergies, medications, health history, test results, appointments and messages from all participating providers—without switching between different portals.

To link your accounts:

Sign in to your Broward Health MyChart account
Go to Menu > Link My Accounts
Search for the organization you want to connect
Select Link Account
Log in to the other organization’s portal to verify your information (one-time step)

Once linked, both accounts appear on your Broward Health MyChart homepage. You can easily switch between them by selecting Switch Organization at the top of your screen.

Trouble finding your organization?

Not all providers currently offer account linking. Visit epic.com/happytogether to see which organizations participate in Happy Together and which are coming soon.

Proxy Access

Proxy access lets you view and manage another person’s medical records in MyChart—or allow someone else to help manage yours. A valid photo ID is required when submitting the proxy authorization consent form.

For Parents of Children Under 13

If your child does not yet have a MyChart account, you can request access during your next appointment or by calling the MyChart Patient Support Line at 954-888-3742.
Parents and guardians have full access to their child’s MyChart until the child turns 13. After that, access is limited to insurance details, billing, demographic updates, immunizations and certain administrative information. Teens 13 and older can create their own MyChart account.

For Parents of Children Ages 13–18

When a child turns 13, certain medical information becomes private under state and federal law to protect adolescent confidentiality for services such as pregnancy care, sexually transmitted diseases, substance use and mental health.
Parents or legal guardians need their teen’s consent to view this health information. Access Proxy Content Form.

For Adults Accessing Another Adult’s Medical Record

You must be at least 18 years old to request proxy access to another person’s MyChart account. Both individuals need Broward Health MyChart accounts. Access can be set up through the Sharing Hub in the MyChart menu.
