Why Is Prenatal Care Important?
Prenatal care is one of the most important things you can do for yourself and your baby during pregnancy. Regular checkups give your provider the opportunity to track your baby's growth, monitor your health and catch any concerns early.
Beyond the medical checkups, prenatal care is also about making sure you feel informed, supported and ready. At Broward HealthPoint, our team of specialists is here to provide guidance on nutrition, mental health, labor preparation, breastfeeding and postpartum care so that you and your baby have the strongest possible start.
What Are the Benefits of a Prenatal Care Group?
CenteringPregnancy is prenatal care designed around you. You get more time with your provider, more education on the topics that matter during your pregnancy and the support of a group of mothers who are going through the same experience at the same time.
Broward HealthPoint's CenteringPregnancy program includes 10 scheduled prenatal visits with routine health checks, private provider time and group discussions at every session. Mothers are encouraged to take an active role in monitoring their own health throughout the program.
Groups are open to all pregnant women and are available in English and Creole, with a Spanish group coming soon. To enroll or learn more, call 954-759-6753.
