About the Program

The mission of the fellowship is to educate fellows to improve patient care in the subspecialty of Gastroenterology. Our slogan is “Patient First.” We aim to recruit fellows with a strong academic background who also demonstrate compassion for patients.

Broward Health is a community teaching hospital, and the fellowship is a clinically oriented program that upholds a high standard of training in both the cognitive and technical skills required of a gastroenterologist. Our goal is to train gastroenterologists who possess the skills and attitudes necessary to deliver the highest quality expert care to patients in our community. The program aligns with the overall mission of its sponsoring institution and places a strong emphasis on evidence-based medicine.

Our program aims to train fellows in both clinical and investigative skills, preparing them to become future leaders in Gastroenterology capable of meeting the evolving needs of their patients.

Fellows Will Receive:

  • Training in skilled endoscopy, including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, esophageal manometry, pH monitoring, wireless capsule endoscopy, biliary endoscopy, and exposure to endoscopic ultrasound.
