Naaz Fatteh MD, MPH - Program Director
Dr. Naaz Fatteh is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and has 25 years of experience in the field of Infectious Diseases. She completed a combined BA/MD program at Drexel University College of Medicine and her Internal Medicine residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital with the University of Miami Medical System. After completing her Infectious Diseases fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia, she obtained a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Fatteh has been actively involved in training Internal Medicine residents during their Infectious Diseases rotations. She has a strong interest in clinical research, including recent COVID-related publications. She is also passionate about global health and has international volunteer experience.
Andrew Ryan Martin, MD - Assistant Program Director
Dr. Martin is board certified in Infectious Diseases and has been practicing in the South Florida community for 12 years. He completed medical school at Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel, Indiana, and an Infectious Diseases fellowship at the University of Michigan Health System.
He has been actively involved as an associate professor in the Broward Health North Internal Medicine and HCA Internal Medicine Residency Programs. Clinically, his interests include prosthetic joint infections, endocarditis, and the diagnosis and management of viral infections, including HIV-related opportunistic infections. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, soccer and going to the beach with his wife and three children.
Indulekha N. Gopal MD, FACP - Assistant Program Director
Dr. Indulekha N. Gopal is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, with over two decades of clinical experience. She completed her Infectious Disease fellowship at Duke University and her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Tennessee. At Broward Health North, Dr. Gopal serves as the Medical Director of Epidemiology, Secretary of the Internal Medicine Department, and Chair of Antibiotic Stewardship. She has been invited to present on topics such as COVID-19, sepsis, Candida auris, and dengue fever by organizations including the India-US Chamber of Commerce and the Florida Department of Health. In her free time, she enjoys cooking traditional South Indian cuisine and spending time with her family.
