Pharmacy Residency Program at Broward Health North

This program builds advanced pharmacy leadership skills through hands-on experience in operations, strategic planning and healthcare management across a unique health system.

About the Program

The Pharmacy Post Graduate Year One (PGY-1) residency at Broward Health North is a 52-week program in pre-candidate accreditation status by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP). This residency is designed to strengthen clinical and professional skills while building expertise in managing medication therapy for patients across a wide range of health conditions. Residents are actively involved in delivering both clinical and operational pharmacy services and are integrated into the broader care team. The program includes a mix of required and elective rotations, allowing residents to focus on key areas such as acute care and pharmacy administration. Throughout the year, residents also gain experience mentoring and precepting Pharm.D. students, helping prepare the next generation of pharmacists.
