Maternity Services and Amenities

When you choose Maternity Place at Broward Health Coral Springs, you’ll have access to dedicated specialists and a wide range of supportive services, including:

  • Dedicated 24/7 Maternity Entrance – Designed for the convenience of expectant mothers and their families.
  • 24-Hour On-Site Anesthesia and Obstetric Hospitalists – Providing immediate access to care when you need it.
  • The Celebration Package – Available for families who wish to add a special touch to their stay.
  • Labor, Delivery and Recovery (LDR) Suites – Private suites designed for comfort and privacy, featuring customizable lighting and temperature controls, sleep accommodations for your partner, and concealed medical equipment. Each suite includes specialized birthing beds, centralized fetal and labor monitoring, and labor support tools.
  • Water Birth Option – Available upon your doctor or midwive’s approval.
  • Mother/Baby Unit – After delivery, you’ll recover in a private room that allows you and your baby to stay together. This unit includes couplet care and sleep accommodations for your partner.
  • Lactation Support – Our nurses are trained to assist with breastfeeding during your stay. A board-certified lactation consultant is always available for additional support.
  • Couplet Care – You and your baby remain together from birth to discharge, promoting bonding and supporting breastfeeding success.
  • Perinatal Unit – Equipped with advanced monitoring and staffed by experienced nurses for patients who require close observation before birth.
  • Level III Neonatal Unit – Private suites featuring comfortable sleeper sofas and dedicated space for a parent to stay overnight. The unit is staffed 24/7 by neonatologists and specialized nurses to care for babies who need extra attention or face complications.
  • Neonatal Follow-Up Program – Supports premature infants and those who spent extended time in the NICU, providing follow-up screenings to promoting healthy growth and development.
  • Transition to Home – Before discharge, our team reviews essential information on breastfeeding, safe sleep, newborn care, and when to call your doctor.
  • Physical Therapy – Available during pregnancy and postpartum with a doctor’s prescription.
  • Hospital Checklist – A guide to help you prepare and pack for your hospital stay.

Donor Milk

Broward Health Coral Springs partners with the Mother’s Milk Bank of Florida to provide pasteurized donor breast milk for infants who need additional nutritional support.
