Broward Health Welcomes Chief Internal Auditor

Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Broward Health welcomed a new chief internal auditor, Deborah Hall, CHC, CFSA, CRMA. Hall will lead the independent appraisal of Broward Health's operations and controls, ensuring all established standards are met and the organization's policies and procedures are followed. 

"Deborah is a seasoned healthcare executive with more than 25 years of experience that she’ll leverage to benefit our patients, caregivers and community by ensuring that our strong vision and work continue to align with industry and federal compliance standards," said Shane Strum, President & CEO of Broward Health.

Prior to joining Broward Health, Hall served as a healthcare and financial advisor at healthcare systems across the nation where she provided guidance to senior management on compliance, privacy, internal audit, risk assessment, and revenue cycle management. Her previous leadership roles include compliance and privacy officer at Randolph Health in Asheboro, North Carolina; vice president, chief compliance and privacy officer, internal audit at the Healthcare District of Palm Beach County in West Palm Beach; and revenue cycle compliance and privacy officer at Sisters of Charity in Broomfield, Colorado.

Hall earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts. She is a member of the Health Care Corporate Compliance Association, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the Society of Compliance and Ethics, the Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors, and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
