Fort Lauderdale, Florida - For the second consecutive year, Broward Health has been recognized for its achievements in Supply Chain Savings by Vizient. The healthcare system received the Participation Leadership and the Executive Savings awards, which recognize health care organizations for demonstrating excellence in lowering costs in the supply chain, streamlining purchasing practices, earning additional rebates and overall lowering pricing from manufacturers.
These achievements, attained through Vizient’s Impact Standardization Program, were made possible through the support of Broward Health’s leadership, its four hospitals and clinical teams.
“Reducing prices in the supply chain and streamlining purchasing practices results in enhanced financial health for our system,” said Alex Fernandez, chief financial officer, Broward Health. “Our procurement team does an outstanding job of helping ensure the best savings for Broward Health, and we thank Vizient for this recognition.”
Additionally, Broward Health received the Participation Award for its involvement in 12 non-food Impact programs and for using a Vizient food and nutrition services agreement
