Pharmacy

Broward Health pharmacies are open to the community for prescriptions, immunizations, medication counseling and help paying for your medications.

Outpatient Pharmacy Services

Broward Health pharmacies fill prescriptions and offer specialty medications, immunizations, HIV care and medication counseling. Our pharmacists are available to answer your questions, review the medications you're taking and help you understand how to take them safely.

Services vary by location, so check the services by location chart before you visit.

Specialty Pharmacy

A specialty pharmacy handles complex or high-cost medications that need close monitoring, special handling or help with insurance. These are often medications for conditions like cancer, HIV or autoimmune disease.

At Broward Health Medical Center, our URAC-accredited team works with your providers to manage prior authorizations, find financial assistance, coordinate refills and arrange home delivery for specialty medications. URAC accreditation means the pharmacy meets national standards for quality and safety.

Adult Immunizations

We offer adult vaccines at several of our pharmacies, including seasonal flu, COVID-19, shingles and more. No appointment is needed for most vaccines. Check the services by location chart to find a pharmacy near you that offers immunizations.

HIV Medication Support

Many Broward Health pharmacy locations are Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program medical providers. If you're eligible, our pharmacists can help you enroll in assistance programs, access and afford your HIV medications, and coordinate refills so you don't have a gap in therapy. You can talk to a pharmacist confidentially, in person or by phone.

Financial Assistance

If you're worried about affording your medications, we can help. Broward Health offers assistance programs that provide free or low-cost prescriptions for patients who qualify. We accept most insurance plans at all pharmacy locations, including commercial plans, Medicare and Medicaid.

Assistance programs available:

  • Broward Health Financial Assistance Program
  • Broward HealthPoint Sliding Fee Scale Program
  • Ryan White Program
  • Homeless Grant

Availability varies by location. Ask a pharmacist to see if you qualify.
