Julien Osiris and Odin Jericho Perez were born at 28 weeks weighing less than three pounds each. The first two months of their lives were spent in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where they fought to live.

Mason Hoover spent the first nine months of his life at Broward Health's Salah Foundation Children's Hospital. Born at just 23 weeks and weighing one pound, four ounces, he battled numerous complications.

When Sarah took her 2-year-old daughter, Vivienne, to the ER she was shocked to learn Vivienne had leukemia. After two and a half years of treatment, Vivienne has been in remission since 2017.

Amanda was just 10 years old when she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, a type of blood cancer. “It was the worst news that a parent could hear,” said Shannon Aiello, Amanda’s mother.

Cameah Toussaint survived a near drowning. She was at a pool party in August, eating a sandwich while standing near the pool’s edge, when another child came along and pushed her into the pool.

Dylan Lindsey, who was in kindergarten at the time, had sniffles and other symptoms of a cold that wouldn’t wane despite repeated trips to the pediatrician.
