Fort Lauderdale, Fla. -- David Clark has been promoted to senior vice president of operations at Broward Health. With more than 15 years of experience as a senior-level administrator of capital projects and healthcare programs, Clark will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations at Broward Health, as well as leading the system's Construction, Facilities and Design Departments.
“With a wealth of operational leadership experience, David is a strong addition to our executive leadership team as we continue to move our healthcare system forward,” said Broward Health President/CEO Gino Santorio. “He will play a vital role as we execute long-term strategies and operational initiatives across the system.”
Clark joined Broward Health in April 2018 as assistant vice president of corporate services, where he provided overall leadership and accountability for the healthcare system’s Construction and Design Department. Prior to joining Broward Health, Clark served as executive director of Facilities and Construction at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. He also served as associate vice president, Facilities Construction and Design (FC&D) at Jackson Health System. In that role, he oversaw all project initiatives throughout the system and directed design and construction of all expansions, new construction, interior and exterior renovations, and infrastructure expansion and replacement projects. Prior to joining Jackson, Clark held leadership positions at Phoenix Construction Group, Inc., CCE Construction, Inc. and Centex Rogers Construction, Inc.
Clark earned his undergraduate degree in architectural and facilities engineering from Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee, and his Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. He is a licensed certified general contractor, a LEED accredited professional and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
