Broward Health’s Memory Disorder Center is nationally certified and accredited by The Joint Commission. You are in good hands when you turn to the memory loss experts at Broward Health. We provide a full range of services, including access to clinical trials and the first FDA-approved drug for the treatment of early Alzheimer’s disease, to help you through every step of treatment, ultimately building a relationship with your entire support system to endure the ups and downs during this time - together.
From the moment you reach out to us, we work on handling the details, making things easier for you, from coordinating appointments to accommodating urgent or unique needs so you can focus on treatment and living your most independent life possible.
During your first visit, which normally lasts about two hours, you’ll take a cognitive screening, and we’ll conduct a thorough medical review. You’ll also meet with our team of specialists, including a social worker, nurse and neurologist, to discuss your care and next steps and create an individualized plan that works for you.
Take a few minutes to complete our memory checklist and better understand your symptoms. If needed, our care team will contact you to help you move forward with confidence and support.
Our Care Assistance Program (CAP) provides education and support for caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. Sessions are offered during the day and in the evening, making it easier to fit into your schedule.
If you are caring for a loved one with dementia, support is here for you. Join our caregiver support group to connect, share, and find ways to ease stress in a welcoming, judgment-free space. We meet every Monday from 10:30 AM to 12 PM.
